What are your memories of the original series of Gladiators?
I was the biggest fan ever; I even have a Gladiators scrapbook with pictures of me with Shadow and Saracen. There was a Gladiators park near me and I had my birthday there and I gave all my friends Gladiator names - I was Jet and Shadow. I'm a massive fan and have been checking the forums for years to see if there was going to be a new series because I wanted to be on it.
Who was your favourite Gladiator?
I loved Jet. And Shadow because he was so scary.
What qualities does a Gladiator need?
To be prepared for hard training, to ache and be in pain. You need to be strong and fast and have charisma.
What can the audience expect from Inferno?
I'm not going to go easy on the Contenders, I'm going to enjoy taking them out and I'm going to take them out in style.
Do you have any words of warning for the Contenders?
Everyone knows that if you play with fire you're going to get burnt. There's nothing I can warm them about because whatever they do to prepare, it won't be enough.
Who or what is your inspiration?
I was bullied at school and all through that time I looked at people like the Gladiators, fit, strong characters who told you to go for what you wanted. So I ignored the bullies and didn't let them distract me from my education and goals. I hope I can inspire other kids to go for their dreams. I wanted to be a wrestler and a Gladiator and I've done that by ignoring what anyone else said.
Do you have a weakness the Contenders could exploit?
How dare you? No.
Which events are you most looking forward to?
I'll like anything where I can use my wrestling skills to run and smash into people. I want to hit the Contenders so hard that they fly across the arena.
If you were an animal what would you be?
I don't think I'd want to be an animal; I'd r ather be a mythological creature like a phoenix.
